Suri, who has been enjoying his stay on the top at the Hero Indian Open, his second event post his surgery. If he wins tomorrow, it will be his first European Tour win since his last at the Made in Denmark in August 2017.

“I think a couple of the mistakes I made today were after long waits on the tee box and that was quite a long wait on 18,” he said. “No excuses, totally my fault, and I need to compose myself better and I think that is a bit of a learning curve for me after being out of tournament golf for a while now.”

“I am feeling good with my overall game despite 18 there, the game feels good.”

Shinkwin, pumped up after his 65 yesterday was all fired up and followed it with a 68 today to finish at -11 to remain second, as luck would have it, Suri’s double made him the co-leader entering the final round tomorrow.

After only 8 Indians made the cut here, Indian hopes were made alive by Bengaluru’s Chikkarangappa S who shot a 66, the best total of the day for a T-6 finish on the board. He joined the likes of George Coetzee, Matthias Schwab, James Morrison and Mikko Korhonen at -6, five shots behind the co-leaders.

“I started really well and that set the tone for the rest of the day. My ball-striking was right up there as I hit almost all greens in regulation and found all fairways. The putting was also sharp.”

“I will take seven birdies and a bogey on this golf course any day. This is my best round at this course and almost feels like a course record.”

“I’ve been in good touch since late last year and that helped my confidence coming into this tournament. I just feel good about all aspects of my game at the moment.”

All in all tomorrow surely looks exciting, it can be anybody’s game, it can be either Julian Suri or Callum Shinkwin or even Masahiro Kawamura who is currently third, two shots behind them.
