Andrew Johnston to miss the Hero Indian Open

With all the hype around the upcoming Hero Indian Open 2019, another sad news has struck the fans after hearing that the last year’s runner-up World No. 236, Andrew Johnston, the crowd favorite will not be coming to play.

After our tweet announcing the news, ‘Beef’ took his time to confirm the news, saying, “I’m sorry I’m not there. I’ll be back though.”

Yes, ‘Beef’ we will be missing you too this week. In other news, the defending champion and World No. 35 Matt Wallace also had earlier announced about not being able to participate this week.

With the top two contenders from the past edition of Hero Indian Open are missing it this time, will it be a good week for the Indians? Going by the statistics too, three of the last four editions have been won by an India, twice by SSP Chawrasia, back to back in 2016 and 2017, after a thrilling win by Anirban Lahiri in 2015.

All in all this week is surely going to be exciting and we hope to see you all there, supporting your favorite players, as they say, may the best man win.
